Earthrace underwent a full re-fit, conducted by our great volutneers, at the Vulkan shipyard in Sagunto, Spain. The refit took two months and included:

• New engines and gearboxes
• New fuel lines and servicing of Racors
• New paint
• New signwriting
• New communications system
• New FLIR night vision system
• Servicing of propellers
• Straightening of driveshafts
• Servicing of couplings
• Replacement of shaft bearings
• New carbon racing steering wheel

Following the refit, Earthrace was taken out on sea trials prior to starting the second world record attempt.
